Important: All dancers must arrive with hair and makeup fully done. This helps ensure we’re stage-ready and running on time for each section.

Middle Part into ponytail at the centre back of the head

Hair Instructions:

Hair must be parted cleanly down the middle and slicked back into a neat ponytail positioned at the centre-back of the head—not too low and not high on the crown. It should sit level with the middle of the ears when viewed from the side.

How to Achieve This Look:

Start with damp or freshly brushed hair. If needed, lightly spritz water to help control flyaways.

Create a precise centre part using the end of a comb. Make sure the part is straight from the front hairline to the crown.

Apply a strong-hold gel or styling cream (e.g. VO5 Sculpting Gel, Schwarzkopf Taft Gel or Slick Gorilla Hair Styling Powder) to both sides of the part and around the head.

Using a fine-tooth comb or smoothing brush, pull the hair back tightly, ensuring both sides are slick and smooth with no bumps.

Secure the ponytail at the centre-back of the head (about mid-height—not near the neck or the top of the head).

Finish by spraying with a firm-hold hairspray (e.g. Tresemmé Extra Hold or Schwarzkopf Freeze Spray) to lock in the style and reduce flyaways.

Optional: Use a little edge control or gel on baby hairs or around the face for an ultra-slick finish. Make sure hair is secure and performance-ready with no loose strands or messy pieces. Hair ties should match the hair colour if possible.
